Two-way sync that actually goes both ways

Vendee Pro connects to Heartland Retail as a real bidirectional pipe between your buying tool and your point of sale, not a one-way export. Items, item grids, vendors, locations, and inventory stay in step, sales arrive in real time, and the purchase orders you write in Vendee Pro push back into Heartland’s native purchasing module. Changes flow in both directions, with automatic recovery so a brief outage doesn’t cause drift.

What syncs

• Items and item grids. Heartland models variant products as an item grid, where each style carries a grid of color and size combinations. Vendee Pro reads those grids correctly, attaching every child item to its grid parent so variants land as variants, not as a pile of unrelated SKUs.
• Vendors. Vendor records sync from Heartland so Vendee Pro’s vendor list stays in step, and the vendor on a pushed purchase order resolves to the right Heartland record.
• Locations. Each Heartland Retail location maps to a Vendee Pro location once, and the mapping is honored from then on.
• Inventory. When you receive a PO in Vendee Pro, the on-hand change propagates to Heartland in seconds, applied as an adjustment rather than a wholesale overwrite of your counts.
• Sales. Completed tickets arrive within seconds, so sell-through reports stay current.
• Images. Item images pull into the Vendee Pro catalog, so your products look right without a second upload.

Publish products and push purchase orders to Heartland

The Vendee Pro buying flow is built around fast product capture: at a trade show, on a market floor, or in the back office. Capture the product, fill out its variant grid on the product form, and publish it to Heartland as items in one step. Purchase orders go further than inventory adjustments: when you submit a PO, Vendee Pro mirrors it into Heartland’s purchasing module as a native purchase order, and receiving against it in Vendee Pro posts a native purchase receipt back to Heartland — so your buying history lives where your team already looks for it. Native purchasing can be toggled per connection if you’d rather keep PO pushes as plain inventory adjustments.

Item grids handled correctly

Item grids are where most integrations get Heartland wrong. Vendee Pro recognizes the grid parent and its children, derives a clean variant label from the color and size axes, and keeps cost and price at the variant level. A style that ships in eight color-size combinations stays one product with eight variants on both sides, so reorders, sell-through, and reporting all line up.

Real-time sales, with a safety net

Each completed ticket lands in Vendee Pro within seconds for live sell-through, automatic safety-net syncs keep stock counts accurate, and your own PO receipts push back to Heartland the moment you receive. Nothing a brief outage misses stays missed.

Connecting Heartland Retail

Connect by pasting a Heartland Retail API token from your account. Vendee Pro validates the token, pulls your locations and walks you through mapping them, and backfills your catalog and current stock. From there, everything runs automatically - no further setup required.

Privacy and data handling

Vendee Pro reads only the data it needs to run buying and reporting on top of Heartland: items and item grids, vendors, locations, inventory, and the line-level detail of completed sales for sell-through. Writes — publishing a product, pushing a purchase order, posting a receipt, or adjusting stock — happen only when you take an action and confirm it.
